How we verify every set
Returns and customer protection
Thirty days, no questions asked. If the set arrives and you change your mind, send it back sealed and we refund. If a box is damaged in transit we sort it. Full details on the return policy page.
Every order is covered by UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. You are buying from a UK Ltd company, not an overseas marketplace.
Payment methods we accept
Card payments are processed by Shopify Payments. We do not handle or store your card details on our own systems.
Reviews and trust signals
Read our independent customer reviews on Trustpilot. The review count is honest: we are a relatively new business and the volume reflects that. Every review is genuine and comes from a verified order.
Common questions about our legitimacy
Is BuyMyBricks a real UK company?
Yes. BuyMyBricks is the trading name of Peter James Trading Ltd, registered in England and Wales as company 15028631. The registration is publicly verifiable on Companies House. We are also UK VAT-registered and dispatch from York.
How do I know the LEGO is genuine and sealed?
Every box is physically inspected on arrival before listing. We check the LEGO seal stickers on each flap are intact and unaltered. We do not list sets where the seal looks tampered with, even if the contents look untouched. If any cosmetic shelf wear is present, we describe it on the product page.
What happens if my order does not arrive or arrives damaged?
Email support@buymybricks.com with the order number. We dispatch every order with a tracked service so we can see the delivery status. If a parcel is lost in transit we replace or refund. If a box arrives damaged, send a photo and we resolve it. You are protected by both our 30-day returns policy and UK consumer law.
How long has BuyMyBricks been trading?
BuyMyBricks launched in 2022. The Companies House registration date for Peter James Trading Ltd is the formal company filing date. Some third-party trust scoring tools flag newer companies as higher risk by default. The verifiable record at Companies House and on Trustpilot is the more accurate signal.
Why is BuyMyBricks cheaper than the LEGO Shop on retired sets?
Retired sets are no longer sold by LEGO. The LEGO Shop does not stock them, so there is no LEGO Shop price to compare. Our price is set against the wider UK secondary market for sealed copies. We aim to undercut the better-known marketplaces while keeping margins viable.
How do I contact someone at BuyMyBricks?
Email support@buymybricks.com and Peter or our customer service team will reply, usually within one working day. We do not run a phone line because every email lands with the same person who can act on it. There is no offshore call centre in the loop.
Still not sure? Email support@buymybricks.com with your question and we will reply with whatever you need to make a decision.
